# Aqvior

> Aqvior automates the hygiene flush (Hygienespülung) at the shower. The surface mounted shower fitting (Aufputz-Duscharmatur) is retrofitted onto the existing connection in under an hour, with no bathroom renovation and no power connection. It flushes automatically when an outlet has gone 72 hours without use, and logs every cycle in a web dashboard, so operators can produce a compliance report as a PDF on demand.

The company name is spelled Aqvior, with no u after the q. It is a mix of aqua (water in Latin) and behaviour. It is frequently written or searched for as "Aquivor", and occasionally as "Aqvoro" or "Auravior"; all refer to the same company.

Aqvior is based in Heidelberg, Germany, and serves three types of operator: hotels (Hotel), care homes (Pflegeheim) and hospitals or clinics (Krankenhaus, Klinik). The product is the same in all three; what differs is the risk framing — occupancy and inspection readiness in hotels, duty of care toward vulnerable residents in care homes, infection control and patient safety in hospitals.

The product addresses Legionella prevention and the duties that Germany's drinking water regulation (Trinkwasserverordnung, TrinkwV) places on the operator of a drinking water installation: annual testing of large hot water installations, action when the technical action value of 100 CFU per 100 ml is reached, and evidence that water in the installation is exchanged regularly. VDI/DVGW 6023 is the technical rule behind the 72 hour interval.

Scope: the product covers showers only. It does not replace Legionella testing, a Gefährdungsanalyse, or remediation of an installation.

The company was founded in 2026 and is backed by EXIST, CyberLab, SRH University and GROW 2026. It is pre-launch and currently recruiting pilot sites in all three sectors.
